It’s the Little Things I Love about Japan

I had coffee with a friend the other day.  I ordered the coffee, and noted that there was sugar already on the table, but when the coffee arrived, and I had to ask for milk.  A moment later, the server brought the tiniest pitcher I had ever seen.  I think Sydney’s tea-set pitcher is bigger!  The coffee cup is normal sized and the sugar is huge.  Infer what you will about Japanese coffee habits.   Enjoy this photo!

Only in Japan…

Here’s what I consider an “only in Japan” moment.  In very few places in the world can a business place a rack of bags of coffee out on the street and not fear for their safety.  It’s one reason of many that I love it so much here.  Happy Holidays, a little bit early!!
